A Nurse's Advice
before surgery:
*If your doctor says you will probably lose your hair, go ahead and choose a wig so that you can more accurately match your hair color and style.
*Ask your doctor what other items
would be good for pre-surgery planning
(i.e.-garments, pillows for support)
after your surgery:
*Don't use heating pads to ease the ache! Your tender nerve endings are still healing and cannot properly detect the degree of heat. You can easily burn yourself!
